imo you get what you pay for

yeah the fees are expensive but you are getting immutable assets on the most resilient chain imaginable 

on Base you are paying cheap fees because of a centralization tradeoff and the fact it gets far less traffic than BTC

which is more conducive to onboarding quality users? sure, Base will get casuals that can't be bothered to dig into the fundamental tradeoffs of the blockchain they're on

but the sticky users are the ones that care about fundamentals, not the ones that refuse to use any UX that isn't catered perfectly to them
