Why Firefox: Mozilla is one of the only 'tech giant' type entities that has stuck to user-first, privacy-preserving, tech-advancing values. It refuses to sell out, is not-for-profit, takes community contributions & builds in public meanwhile, Chrome: blocks uBlock Origin. Secretly collects data when you use Incognito.

yes but they also caved to the mob and stopped accepting crypto for donations https://www.theverge.com/2022/1/6/22870787/mozilla-pauses-crypto-donations-backlash-jwz

it wasn't for mob reasons! It was because they didn't want to support PoW chains for environmental reasons. They specified that they wanted to only accept PoS donations: https://wiki.mozilla.org/Foundation/Cryptocurrency_Donations I do think their development on implementation after evaluation has stalled though
