so were you basically just farming your allowance to buy tokens for yourself?

I don't know about others but my ban was for using mcdegen same as for all that use more than 60% allowance on it🤷‍♂️

Quick breakdown summary of the space hosted by @burrrrrberry concerning @jacek’s decision on degen and its users.

I requested to speak on the space at a point cause no one was really asking or saying the right thing until s3an and Burrr (God bless you guys), but i guess i was late.

Jacek: gives a rule last year on how tipping should be less than 15 times given/received yes?
Sounds fair, then proceeds to giving 3 days rollover, that’s super cool, now farmers can wash less than 15 times in a month without being affected.

(i do think the rollover is a great idea though)

Oh wait! There’s more, by the end of January i would bring up the query and immediately ban users who have “ABUSED” this rule of the T4T risks and maybe listen to their plea about unbanning them for the next season (no care about payments they must have received from degen tips?)

Also does that mean most /microsub users will get banned too or rather have a lot of tips gone? @downshift.eth ,i don’t think i got that part right

I'm now banned on the new degen ban list. I'm shocked seeing my FID on the list!!! 🤯 

I have invested more than 7k usdc into $degen in the last two months to support the project. I have not broken any written rules. I have not overcome the 15 tip-for-tip rule. 

This season I have used my allowance to:
-Most of them to support my BEST collector @pawleitor, who spent more than 2 ETH buying my ART and has tried more than once to be active here and has always been ignored. 
-Support friends from my /farcaster circle who interact with me daily and support me here. It's the reason I'm still here.

I hope this is rectified as soon as possible, and let the rules be clearly specified before each season.

I got banned for converting my tips to degen L3 tokens even though I specifically asked Jacek himself about it and he said that they have partnered with mcdegen. I'm not mad about it it's only 22k degen. I hope doesn't hurt my onchain reputation though...

Seems I was banned for matching tips but I did follow the tip4tip rule and I had got limited before so I always check it 😂

3 categories of users have been banned, most fall into category 3:

1. Accounts which have removed >60% of their allowance through McDegen.
2. Accounts who exploited an allowance glitch.
3. Accounts with a high % of "tips reciprocated" meaning that you tipped people back when they tipped you.

There will be some form of appeal process coming so please stay tuned to the Degen channel for more info on this.

The problem is that Degen team is changing rules in this season instead of new one. 

Mintclub users got their money (real time exchange tip - l3 tokens), but those who tipped by the rule T4T (max 15 tips to friends) got wiped.

Had I known there was a 60% threshold I would have stopped at 59% but it’s typical $degen moves and moving the goalposts as always.

I think the bans are a pretext for not giving people claims. We were never going to live up to the rules. If you met the rules then the rules would change until you didn't meet them.

So, Jacek has introduced a new standard instead of just labeling people for spamming. There's now a new rule: if you give back 60% of the tips you receive, you'll get banned. He’s calling it Circular Tipping Behavior. Apparently, around 80% of users here are affected😅😅

The main reason so many people got banned is bcz of reciprocating the tips.

Jacek stated on an X Space that if you return more than 60% of the tips you receive (from specific people) and follow this pattern for over 80% of your total tips, you risk being banned.

I sincerely hope it's just a mistake, because changing the rules at the end is a one-way game.
