1. Farcaster members earned it based on their historical engagement received -- not vanity metrics, who and how their Farcaster content received engagement 

2. The Airdrops vest 1/180th per day over 180 days -- it's not a handout, it's a spark plug...

3. because you can use your unvested Airdrop to buy Fan Tokens in the protocol while its vesting

so the model rewards engagement and continuous engagement and everyone has meaningful skin in the game

It took 6+ years of progress to make this the inflection point for Jason's ideas around the Simple Token to coalesce into Moxie on Farcaster. 

The fact that this originated from the community is such a bullish signal of the health and vision of the Farcaster protocol.
