I miss Tonkatsu so much. I can make it at home, but itโs never as crunchy as the professionals. This is one of my favorite quick bites when Iโm in Japan. When they are deep fried oysters on the menu, Iโm even happier!

I find outside of a Japan not many people can get the same Juicy thickness of the Tonkatsu right and it becomes a pork schnitzel. Gotta get that thicc pork with a bit of fat to make it right. Legit surprised you like the Kaki Fry or deep fried oyster. ๐ Itโs the one thing I feel aussies do better with eating it natural and a little lemon for the Sydney rock oysters.

Yes! I canโt get it thick enough and to cook nicely! Itโs a gift!
