We couldnā€™t get him to sober up, so we grabbed a luggage cart and loaded his drunk body onto it. Lifting a completely limp person turned out to be quite the challenge. It was early morning, so luckily, no one besides the reception staff saw us... thank goodness no one called the cops, haha. We somehow managed to drag him onto the bus and headed to Bayahibe (the place where I once had those wild adventures with the tourist junkies). The bride was super embarrassed, but our team managed to calm her down. The entire 1.5-hour ride to the port, we kept trying to wake him up, but it was hopeless. And that wasnā€™t great because when the boat hits waves, it can bounce, and even sober people can get injured. Iā€™ve hurt my back twice on such tripsā€”I couldnā€™t bend or turn my head for days. But the bride insisted that no matter what, we were going through with it.
