If I could nudge one thing with the meta, change the recast requirement to a follow requirement. - More durable potential ongoing relationship vs. 1-time - People will likely give you a chance b/c they can unfollow - Would likely increase the participation since it doesn't spam their feed.

Would be more like a follow gate than a button action if I’m tracking correctly.

Just curious, how easy is it to do a follow gate vs a recast gate?

It’s the same effort in my book diff api call to confirm the follow vs the recast. Others may want to chime in & contradict this..

Follow on question - a bunch of people were "stealing" the degen slots frame to farm likes and recast. How did that work, the frame server knows which cast the interaction came from? And would the same be possible for follow gated casts, other people stealing that to get their own follows?

this should become a dev lesson that goes into best practices/libraries: deploy without the cast hash, then add a check on the back end. or, specify a whitelist of fids that can cast, maybe with validFrom and validTo times

idk much about the farming but yes, the frame server will recieve a singed message when a button is clicked. That server can verify the message is from a specific FC user by calling a Hub.
