A consumer crypto app is one which requires no prior knowledge of crypto to use immediately. Good examples of consumer crypto apps are Coinbase and Farcaster. Also, by this definition, most self-custodial wallet apps are not consumer crypto apps, because they require prior crypto knowledge to use immediately.

The decentralized version is more valuable. Bitcoin is worth $1T and PayPal is worth $64B. Ethereum is worth $400B and Stripe is worth $65B. So, if Farcaster really takes off as a protocol, and it’s getting there, it could be even more valuable than existing social media companies.

Just logged into the desktop app, and I gotta say it was the most seamless login experience I've had on web2 and web3... Literally 1 scan of a qr code and a swipe on my phone... warpcast took care of everything. Damn I'm so bullish!!! @dwr.eth & team👏

Tried to log in to an old gmail account. Remembered my password perfectly. But it asked for a confirmation code from an old phone number I no longer have (something it never did before). No alternative recovery options. This is why I keep shilling decentralized social recovery.
