Polygon plans to migrate MATIC to POL on September 4 The Polygon Foundation announced on Platform X that Polygon's mainnet upgrade is scheduled to take place on September 4, 2024, and POL will replace MATIC as Polygon PoS 'native gas and pledge token, subject to community approval. POL will play a key role in the AggLayer.
