I recently developed a moderate food allergy and it's completely changed my interactions around dining which I had never been exposed to. Makes me have a lot more empathy for people who experience this For example contacting restaurants separately to share my allergy and ask if that's okay, telling people to get whatever they want and not to worry about me, occasional when there are trace/unexpected amounts in the food causing an allergic reaction but then telling the other person I'm going to be okay and don't freak out. And I'm really lucky mine is moderate not severe too

I’m gluten free and it’s so hard sometimes. So I feel your pain! All restaurants handle allergies differently and not all things are labeled, so it can be super difficult to know what’s in the food 😔 also gluten is in things you wouldn’t think it would be in like rice and fries sometimes.
