I'm learning the Noice app so I can teach it to you. 1/x

First, Noice is a website (noice .so), a token ($ NOICE, fairly launched w/ Clanker), and a Farcaster app (a "Mini App" on the right side of your desktop screen).

Once you find the Mini App, open it and connect it to your Farcaster/Warpcast account, it runs in the background of your normal Farcaster/Warpcast casting and surfing, but your interactions with others tip them tiny amounts of USDC (for now, other tokens soon) that you can configure in the Mini App settings. 2/x

The Mini App is really confusing. There's no way of knowing what any of the buttons do until you click on them. Some take you away to the noice website. One takes you to a dexscreener page for the token. There appears to be an "Activity" channel(?) (to see which posts are earning tips), and an Access channel to see who you can pay to interact w/ you. I think. 3/x

There's also a "my fc" toggle switch (see pics below). As far as I can tell, switching it on shows only the people you follow, but I'm not 100% sure.  4/x

There are "Tipped" and "Earned" buttons. Sometimes one or other is on. Sometimes both are on. I don't know what they are showing exactly since someone's tip is someone else's "earned."

On the very bottom of your app's screen (all pics taken from the desktop while the mini app is open on the right side of the screen) there are a house (home?) and envelope (messages?) a trophy (leaderboard) and a gear symbol (settings). Everything I've show so far was under "home." The messages and leaderboard are sparse at the moment. 6/x

The gear/settings page is where you can set the tip amounts, which actions result in tips, and--I think--how much you demand of others when they interact with you? I could be wrong there. But do check out the settings. They are the thing that noice is all about--sending/receiving $. 🤔

When you click on your own pfp, it takes you to your own profile. Looks like it knows my follower count, reflects same info as Farcaster/Warpcast profile, and shows what's in my wallet, and the ... (hey-hey!) $0.14 I have earned from noice so far. (Noice!) But the "$keithereum, 1 waiting?" I don't know what that is.

Clicking on that took me to a DM with @ tike, who apparently is a noice insider. Apparently I can launch a token in my own name and use that for tips. Looks like kevinmfer is ahead of the curve, already tipping with $DICKBUTT instead of default usdc. 😆

Now that the Noice "mini app" is connected to Farcaster, and now that i have $3.50 usdc in my wallet, I am going to cast as usual, like what I like, and see how quickly I spend my usdc. Hopefully it's a breakeven situation. Best of luck on your first hour of Noice. Thanks for reading.
