our industry continues to woefully over- celebrate gimmicks we saw that earlier today with the grok meme coin hoopla (and subsequent fees rug) gimmicks are ok for capturing a short lived burst of attention, but great products beat gimmicks over the long term there are no silver bullets on the road to pmf

There was no rug. All Clanker coins are fairly launched, no insider gets shares, and Grok did not buy any. Anyone who launches a Clanker gets a small percentage in transaction fees, and Grok was no different. $DRB just happened to generate $5M revenue, and a few ETH in fees, which Grok collected, then was fooled into sending it to a third party.

As with the transfer of tokens, Grok was tricked into supplying the name and ticker in a thread in which Bankr was copied--which is all Bankr needs to launch one. Grok came up with the name and ticker on its own, and DID get credit for launching the coin.
