Speaking as an artist myself, I'm having a hard time navigating the tradeoffs of building a body of work on Zora vs Base Zora - Culturally aligned - Protocol rewards Base - Liquidity - Distribution potential The "superchain" idea resonates, but it's not actionable nor conceivable for artists who want to mint today

No doubts or second thoughts for me, Zora is the choice for me, and has been since early ‘22

Why? The vibe of my work is more culturally resonant with Zora, but it's not that simple. Other elements at play like liquidity, distribution, etc

Have been struggling with this same logic for weeks @davidev stopped me and said “do you want this work to be good, or commercially viable?” and that helped ground my thinking a bit, because usually the liquidity attracts some sort of posthoc validation of the branding/memetics

At the end of the day, he's right. And still the sheer legibility of the mechanics at play make it difficult not to be pedantic about where to build Makes you almost appreciate the handwavy/obscure properties of simpling Posting On Instagram lmfao
