Speaking as an artist myself, I'm having a hard time navigating the tradeoffs of building a body of work on Zora vs Base

Zora
- Culturally aligned
- Protocol rewards

Base
- Liquidity
- Distribution potential

The "superchain" idea resonates, but it's not actionable nor conceivable for artists who want to mint today

My thinking:

Economics: BASE
- At ~$0.56/mint Zora Protocol Rewards are SICK in ethos, but not meaningful unless >1000 mints
- Base has ~62x more liquidity than Zora

Brand: ZORA
- Zora for media (ie. short film), Base for technical concepts (ie. AR chairs)

Distribution: Neither
- Vague claims for boosting from both

Why? The vibe of my work is more culturally resonant with Zora, but it's not that simple. Other elements at play like liquidity, distribution, etc

No doubts or second thoughts for me, Zora is the choice for me, and has been since early ‘22
