this and the post read to me like "young men generally feel poor" which imo is a more base emotion than "young men feel they're doing worse than women", so it makes sense why they prioritize it an optimistic reading could be neutrality to "falling behind women" is the result of less ingrained misogyny and hence feeling less reflexively bad that they're "doing worse girls" this is all speculation on a broad dataset tho
