The scene outside my gym has always been a little sketch due to proximity to noted party street Dirty Sixth. When I got back to Texas after the holidays it became REALLY sketch I asked the receptionist if she knew what happened. The city of Austin told my gym their private security (because yes you NEED that at this point) wasn’t allowed to intervene. “We don’t own the sidewalk”. The only acceptable instances for intervention are someone threatening a patron or straight up dying on the street. And so the crowd grows. Very Cool I pay for 2 sets of cops that can’t or won’t do the job. We are a very rich society that spends almost unimaginable sums of money on making life worse (on some axes)

Property tax covers what income tax does not in TX. As you can see by what happened to the private security money doesn’t fix this when the gov seems to actively hate you

haha today when i hopped onto the bird app real quick i saw a thread about how living in texas sucks or something and it reminded me of you (was explaining the dif taxes) they touched on that 🤓

I think the core of the problem are Californians — not Texans 😬 I think I would like Texas. Not whatever SF Lite this is

ooh i actually forgot the part i wanted to ask, is there anywhere that you WANT to live like that you've visited that you liked a lot and think would be cool to move to ? (or favorite place in general to reside)

hmm maybe try arizona actually you might like, it's is pretty cool it's like the best of both worlds you just have to live in the lamest desert but..buttttttt there's no earthquakes of forest fires or tornados or floods plus if you're feeling extra hateful i mean conservative you can live up north but not too far cuz then it's less conservative again. but you would absolutely need a car 💀🤣 this was just fun suggestions not real hope you have a good week !
