how does this change? crypto appears (?) to have made it worse, with casino mentality and transparency, turbo-charging the human truth of consequence-free criminality* I feel that even more scoldy, even older people than you (couldn't be me /s ) aren't exactly helping either * isn't this why we had to invent an afterlife including "hell"

ok I have another common, slightly intrusive thought in the UK, every time I met a friend's nan or granddad, I just knew they had been very, very racist at some point. And my British-born young adult friends were less racist than any American-raised similar age person, just because of culture, melting pot vs salad bowl vs mosaic, etc. lack of racism seems to be an abnormality of the human condition. maybe peaking in 70s era Sci-Fi, in the Western space mostly. corollary: the internet is made of people, and the tools people have built. anonymity doesn't produce impartial culture idk?
