There’s a citizen journalist type account on X I follow to stay updated on homeless camps in Austin Today he’s going to hand out coats and blankets. “Going to be getting cold and I want to make sure everyone survives” This is a noble and kind thing to do and I applaud him. But Texans broadly are out to lunch. The cold in question is a max low of 55F with highs in the high 70s 💀

He's probably trying to get ahead of what might actually be an extremely cold winter in central Texas. Something like the freeze 2 years ago.
