If it was regulated gambling then it would at least be calling a spade a spade. But gambling is trashy too 

Protocol layer … meh. Sounds cool and often is but only theoretically. all you are doing is building a better foundation for the trashy

But in the protocol layer- 

you have an excuse to not make money!
