What is a good example of media like this

I'd say the way most modern TV shows and movies focus more on relationships as a way to hook up vs a path towards finding someone you actually want to be with

the potential for marriage and kids is framed as something that you might stumble into, not the actual goal of what the characters are doing

okay but like what show 😂 if there’s so many and it’s so pervasive this is not a hard q

Ok so people in 2023 being polled are influenced by 

Seinfeld (1989-98)
and 
Friends (1994-2004)

and Friends ends with everyone paired some with kids 

and bc it’s not Leave it to Beaver no one gets married

K. Just not sure I buy this

Friends and Sienfeld probably were the clearest start of the trend

most sitcoms follow that formula now which is much more focused on individuals having fun living their free lives in 20s/30s vs the sitcoms of the 50s/60s which were more family oriented
