With only one month left in this fiscal year, the US federal budget deficit surged in August, and rising interest costs continue to put pressure on the overall balance of payments. The data released by the US Treasury Department on Thursday showed that the deficit reached $1.9 trillion in the 11 months ending in August, an increase of 24% year-on-year. In August, there was a monthly deficit of 380 billion US dollars, while in August 2023, after adjusting for calendar differences, it was a surplus. A significant portion of the monthly difference is due to the rejection of student loan waivers. The interest burden on the US debt balance remains a major drag on the budget. @rduray7

After the first debate with current Vice President Kamala Harris, the Meme coin inspired by former President Donald Trump was sold off. According to CoinGecko's data, the overall market value of the PolitiFi sector is approximately $535 million, a decrease of 9% in the past 24 hours. PoliticFinance (PolitiFi for short) is a meme coin inspired by political figures and has no official affiliation with any political figure. Among them, MAGA (TRUMP) fell by 16%. SuperTrump (STRUMP) fell 10%, while MAGAHat (MAGA) and DolandTremp (TREMP) fell 22% and 28%, respectively. Other tokens centered around Trump have also experienced significant selling (i.e. at least 20%), including DarkMAGA (DMAGA) and FighttoMAGA (FIGHT). The KamalaHorris (KAMA) token has dropped by approximately 11%. According to Portaldobitcoin, Brazil's largest digital bank Nubank announced that trading of its own cryptocurrency Nucoin will cease on Tuesday of this week. This action represents the end of the cryptocurrency business launched in March 2023. Customers holding at least 100 Brazilian Real Nucoins will be able to exchange them for Bitcoin or USDC (a stablecoin pegged to the US dollar). Users have a maximum of 90 days to make this conversion, which is before December 9th. If Nucoin holders do not make a choice within the deadline, the cryptocurrency will be reserved for accumulation and 'future benefits from the reward program'. @ftiioma
