Introducing Token Links

Try it now: $degen, $tn100x, $higher, $moxie, $anon

- Mention a token with a leading $, it turns into a link
- Tap link to see top tokens by market cap and recent casts
- Links to Dexscreener and copy contract address
- Working in casts and profiles
- Already on the protocol; just enriching text in casts

Future ideas
- Smarter algo for casts (expect a bit of spam this week)
- Additional info and metrics for traders
- Farcaster social graph signals
- Customization for token creators
- Tie-in with frames and onchain transactions

Known issues
- If token links aren't linkifying, update your app and restart 1-2x
- Casts are slow to load; making that faster
- Token links don't work in DCs or the composer yet
- Sorting by market cap may result in non-FC native assets ahead of FC-native ones, e.g. $anon

Reminder: you can mute all token links by adding $ to your mute words on Warpcast

Feels like there will be native transactions on Warpcast with an embedded wallet very soon

Ya the only answer I have to combat the need for $5/$3/any$ signup cost is the eventually provide passive yield on deposited assets. You could do this via a native yield bearing stable coin or just dump the deposits into aave product or similar. 

The social layer and in feed txs are here, now tell Gary to suck it and turn Warpcast into a yield product with integrations to base apps in feed.

Wow yeah this would be awesome!  

Imagine that a user deposited $20-$100 to sign up to warpcast and part of it went into a yield vault that could generate enough yield to pay for its yearly storage costs

They can do this right now out of box. I’m assuming they have also had this idea and it’s prob been a regulatory concern issue.
