The answer imo is remove staking to get allowance. And remove allowances in general. Make it so that you have to spot buy degen to tip degen. Airdrop the rest of the allowance allocation every month based on tipping usage. This has to happen eventually no matter what. To support this you could also enable staking to get degen emissions, not sure lifespan on this though.

My thesis is that degen actually has enough backing that people would buy it to use like normal currency and tip each other. You could even use the previous allowance treasury to match degen swaps if you use their app or something

The community as a whole also didnโt understand how basic staking worked Incentive structures are a very complicated and hard thing to get right. It isnโt wrong now itโs just matured from the initial form and needs adjustment imo. This also is a premature idea, there might be real reasons this wouldnโt work. But to me allowances and emissions in the current form are going to limit growth until they expire which is a long time.

True. I had an idea previously stating it would be nice if Dan normalized degen tipping and it became the nature of this appโbecause I think degen is slowly digressing from the initial feature which was to reward good content on the spot. So imagine a world where Dan bought in a big chunk and once you become a farcaster user you get an allowance which enables you to reward content you like vice versa
