Ireland holds a special place in my heart. I spent winter '96, spring '97, in Galway as part of an exchange students program. I still remember the walk from Corrib Village to UCG, the crazy weather, the pubs, and of course, this is where I learned to appreciate Guinness. So many beautiful memories. Sunday branches at the King's Head, with small jazz bands performing live. The Aran Islands. A wild party at Menlo Castle. Warm people I fell in love with. At some point, someone "explained": "you know, our island was originally in the Mediterranean, next to you (Greece), that's why we feel close". It makes sense.

I'm sure. I want to come back at some point, ideally with my teenage daughter, I know she'll love Ireland.

People say it's less artistic than before. Not just that people settled down, but rent prices are pushing people out. Even Race week is less busy (not that that is a bad thing. Can do without guys in suit pissing on the street corners) Walking down shop street and listening to the buskers is still a top activity of mine. Love what they are doing to make Galway more interesting for tech companies. Not everything needs to happen in Dublin
