When Sarah looked at her shattered tv, her ex-hand now pixelated plasma-bones weirdly hanging in the air (she didn’t know what to do with it), she noticed the humankind lavender candle gracefully balancing on the heaps of shattered glass and plastic. The flame hissing and crackling like all the time.

In a world where time was currency, people traded years for moments with forgotten ancestors who resided in the Eternal Library.

These are the foundations of our World: Discordant, Ephemeral, Profound.

In the city's forgotten quarter, a lone fountain stood still as a sculpture, its waters long dried up by time and neglect.
