My turn for a boost and a great time to introduce myself for those who don’t know me! This photo is from my performance on Saturday night. I grew up performing and competing as a classically trained pianist and vocalist. My first job as an artist was creating window displays and fashion merchandising. I learned how to DJ with turntables at a house party which led to nightclub residencies, runway shows, gallery exhibits and festivals. I began making music with my husband - producing, writing, recording and performing together. Our song ‘Get Up’ can be heard on the Netflix show, Elite (S06, EP03). I’ve worked as a morning radio show host and began releasing my own music onchain in 2022. I’m currently working on my debut full length album and releasing visual art in the process. In August, I launched /higherfm and have loved curating music with conversations. AMA - I love connecting here on fc!

Thanks for sharing more about you. How does visual art and music come/flow together? Does one inspire the other? Or is it more like two spaces of your life?

Of course! Great question, I follow the flow and just create without overthinking. Playing with an idea, whether it comes as a visual or audio idea. I’m often surprised how one inspires the other and usually find the connection after the fact. Ex: I have an art collection on the theme of currency and about a year later, recorded a hook for the same topic. Then the photography elements started to float in my mind and now I see it as a whole project!
