Elenor Ostrom pointed out through her studies that it (tragedy of the commons) almost never happens, it’s a fantasy. She highlighted that humans are socially interdependent animals. I had 3 nights of bad sleep, so thoughts are a bit nebulous… The reduction of pain we often see is at the individual level. It’s not reducing the pain of the community. Once the individual life is made so good that others loose, we revert back, and take in some pain (kinda moving from... longcast.jam.so/jjNSln
