correlation is NOT causation. aka stretching kids to make them taller will not make them smarter. Their model only explains 7% of cognitive ability. If you'd use their model to predict someone's cognitive ability, in most cases you'll be wrong. If the studied students are split into male and female, height has no significant impact on the cognitive ability of males, but a tiny one on female. You know what's one of the best predictor's of cognitive ability in their model? If parents have a university degree . They also show that guys who develop earlier (first wet dream younger) are taller and therefore smarter. No difference for onset of menstruation for women (which they gloss over). What a load of bullocks. Most shocking is that if you don't inspect the tables, you'd believe them. Result section is extremely picky on what they report. https://www.sciencedirect.com/science/article/pii/S240584402404773X#sec5
