The words we use to describe "money deployed into an instrument / transaction with expectation of future upside" 

The words implicitly carry a judgement on the activity based on 1) duration 2) perceived value.

Haven't found a word for the bottom right quadrant.

And as you move up the vertical spectrum, you get Patronage+ where the motivation is primarily patronage but with the possibility of a long term payout, which is why NFTs are cool.
