A lot of journalists steer clear of crypto because of the perception that there is a disproportionate amount of bad people here. Instead of debating the point, tell them that’s exactly why we need them to join up. We need more good people and more accountability.

Tbh im not sure journalists, simply by their title, are good people nor desirable people. We just broadly want more people (journos included) joining the crypto space out of a desire to held build a better coordinated future, and not just to make a 2x by dumping bags on a greater fool.

I agree. I'm more saying that's the pitch to them. Also, if they don't join early, then norms and institutions get formed without them and their input. They'll have to come begging for scraps yet again. Not making an objective claim about whether they are good or bad, but personally I'd like to see more here.

The one good thing about more journalists entering the space is that many (or at least most of my former journalist colleagues) are highly empathetic, insatiably curious and kind. They also seek facts, data & investigate until they come to logical conclusions. We need more of that in web3 & working on impact projects
