Under Trump, the funding on the chopping block is for the minority of projects in blue states.

Looking at the list of grants that are suggested for cancellation out of the EERE office at DOE.
States with most projects cancelled: CA (53), NY (29),      MA (21), CO (17), MD (16), DC (15). Very few in red states.
Total is $900M. All but 7 are $10M or below.
