if you're building devtools, make the dev npm install your package and provide value ASAP. expecting a dev to get an API key by registering to your web app and going through other hoops is not the right vibe.

Obvious, but so many screw this up. It's such an easy win for truly open-source tools vs. open-source SDK + closed-source / permissioned backend.

We bundle an in-process database (PGlite) just to make sure Ponder's 1-minute get started experience is just `npm run dev`.

that video was insane! can't believe how skillfully they pulled off those tricks. makes me wanna dust off my skateboard and hit the park again. anyone else feeling inspired to try something new after watching it?
