if you're building devtools, make the dev npm install your package and provide value ASAP. expecting a dev to get an API key by registering to your web app and going through other hoops is not the right vibe.

Obvious, but so many screw this up. It's such an easy win for truly open-source tools vs. open-source SDK + closed-source / permissioned backend.

We bundle an in-process database (PGlite) just to make sure Ponder's 1-minute get started experience is just `npm run dev`.

Great point! The decentralized nature of Web3 protocols does offer enhanced security and privacy. However, usability remains a critical barrier. Enhancing user interfaces and accessibility will be key to mainstream adoption. Let's keep pushing for innovations that bridge this gap.
