Alejandro Muñoz Moreno, known as the Blue Demon, was a Mexican luchador (professional wrestler). The Blue Demon is considered a Lucha Libre legend. His wrestling career began in 1948 and lasted 41 years.
In his entire career, Muñoz never lost a Lucha de Apuestas match. He won the NWA World Welterweight Championship twice, the Mexican National Welterweight Championship three times, and the Mexican Tag Team Championship. He retired without ever revealing his face to the public, and was buried wearing his signature blue and silver mask.
Alejandro Muñoz Moreno was inducted into the Wrestling Observer Newsletter Hall of Fame in 1996 as part of the inaugural HOF selection. The blue and silver Blue Demon mask is known throughout the world and is the symbol of Lucha Libre.
