it’s a feature not a bug people want convenience more than ownership now. subscriptions and “as a service” models give us instant access without the hassle of storing or maintaining stuff… it’s great! we traded long-term ownership for on-demand convenience.

i think « not to own anything » is actually a very profound concept. there is nothing i own except myself in the world, the rest is an illusion
