I have a strange question guys… The thing I hate most about working out is being drenched in sweat. I love the feeling of muscle soreness, but not being wet at the degree of a shower haha. Is there a direct correlation between a good workout and how much you sweat? Can it be effective to build muscles by working out at a slower pace without ending up totally soaked?

This is a great question. From experience, when you are building muscle, you don't necessarily need to sweat too much. Sweating a lot (at shower level 😅), usually happens when your heart rate goes faster, i.e. doing cardio, running, jogging, cycling, etc. You could alternate between strength training, cardio and a mix. With cardio, if you don't want to sweat that much, but still want a productive workout, try custom workouts with a machine and focus on getting into specific training zones (there are 5 zones). If you stay in zone 3 for longer, you might sweat less and have a productive cardio workout without inducing excessive sweating

Thank you for sharing your experience!! I usually suffer with it when I go to a group class and when we have to maintain the rhythm that may be is too fast for me. I’ve never went to a gym to work out alone with machines, because I would probably do everything slowly to avoid sweating. This is why I’ve asked myself, but does this really mean it can’t be still effective?
