Just took me 45 mins to convert a bit of stETH -> ETH -> swETH (swell) -> restake on Eigen.

Prob cost me $50 in fees.

User experience on Ethereum is just miles worse than newer faster chains like Solana. The question than becomes is Ethereum the global settlement layer with thousands of rollups built on top of it or is one monolithic chain going to be the winner. Only time will tell.

The challenge, should rollups choose to accept it, is for rollups to abstract this complexity and offer great UX for users that rivals newer faster chains.

Yes absolutely we will provide users with an option to use a different DA layer based on user need (could be feed-driven, privacy-driven, etc).

You should check out zkPorter which is a huge part of what we are building to enable super cheap fees with still strong correctness guarantees (launching soon!)

I think part of providing that greater UX is lowering fees to near zero. What do you think of data availability layers and offloading data to Celestia, Eigenlayer, Avail...etc? In order to compete on costs I envision every L2/rollup will eventually offload data to a DA layer. Any plans for this !7473?
