My 11 yo has been watching videos about kidnap, suicide and a lap dancing hairdresser(!) on Snapchat and YouTube shorts. 

Any suggestions other than removing the apps entirely (she really likes them, and there is plenty of positive content she wants to watch, as well as chats with friends)?

I think your daughter is old enough for conversation regarding this
Little by little you can shift it to more age appropriate apss
Conversation is the key
