Maybe we could encourage people to cast more about what their bookish interests are and what kind of reader they are.

It may feel out off place because right now the focus is very much on the books themselves, but even recommendations can become more meaningful when you know who is behind the recommendation.

Hi, I'm Karmen! I prefer fiction, but love a good historical non-fiction like Wild Swans that wraps it all in a beautifully engrossing narrative. 

Grew up wanting to read all the classics, but now seeking more stories from different voices and backgrounds. Always open to recommendations of books by POC authors!
