Lot of people who are members of /paidgroup reporting they lost their power badge What's up with that? Any rhyme or reason? Anything they can do or avoid doing to get their badges back?

Paidgroup sadly turned out a machine of engagement farming because it was selected by bots as their home. Probably is related to that.

idk how to get rid of them. I try to basically limit my interactions in the channel to pb ppl and token holders. I have 16 mods and we were hiding and banning everyone we thought were bots. Not much else I can do.

Two things come to my mind: - Some channels are using hypersub as a token-gated access to their channels. Maybe tweak something towards that? - There was someone (can't remember who) who made a frame that uses a captcha to filter bots, and that frame could be linked to other stuff.

I've resisted token gating the channel because I'd like for people to be able to join in the joke. It's how a community grows, open door policy.

And I agree! I think people who lost their power badges turned a blind eye to the bots because everyone knows this is happening on paidgroup tbhβ¦so it's more or less their fault too. I know that's harsh but, well, it's the truth.

they still can interact by liking/recasting but this is my only request for paidgroup, closing it off just temporarily would cause the bots to move on. I've posted less in there from fears of losing my badge, it's deffs down to getting too much interaction with "bots"
