GM beautiful people Would you recommend working in VC if the end goal is to be a founder? I am at a bit of a crossroads here 🤔

No, would recommend joining an early stage startup over being a VC since you'll get direct experience on building

No. The lessons you learn as a VC can be extremely valuable, but only over the course of 5-10 years. You won't learn anything substantial in 18 months or less. Being part of an early stage team is a much better path to understanding what a founder goes through.

Usually the path goes the other way. You build and sell something, then you move into VC.

As a Founder, my recommendation is just start solving a problem. Build something to provide a solution, get feedback and iterate (Repeat). Working as a VC will definitely give you an inside scoop into the industry, trends, smart money, fundraising, valuations, etc. Happy to connect! 🙂

Best VCs are former founders so I’d say build first then consider VC. It’s also not that easy of an industry to crack into so being a founder will only help.
