2. I only write down action items and things I must remember. The lesson of tools like Roam is that people almost never go back and read their notes later. Better to focus the attention on the person I'm speaking to.

Roam is the first tool that's made it trivial to review past notes so it's the first time I've extensively taken meeting notes. Before a meeting with someone, I just shift-click their name to open them in the sidebar and quickly scan previous meeting notes & other things I've jotted down on them recently.

it’d be cool if someone made something like this that takes + resurfaces notes automatically and is built straight into zoom

they do! don’t know much about it tho. i think the tricky part is in automatically connecting and resurfacing topics https://marketplace.zoom.us/apps?appType=ZOOM_APP
