I haven’t been running regularly this summer. I tried to do a 20 minute run today and was disappointed: - I couldn’t do it without a walking break - avg pace 14.3 min/mile - had some stiffness in one of my knees - something I took for granted when I was younger, now requires training in my 40s Posting here bc it’s easier to post things I feel good about and I want to balance that, and despite feeling shitty about the results, I am still satisfied I came out and tried and I know tomorrow will be easier

Keep it up, I used to have pretty solid resistance in my 20s, but stopped running consistently for 1-3 years It took me 2-3 months of running (started with walk breaks) and now I'm almost at the same pace as before

that's awesome, good work! Running for 20-30 minutes was just something I could always do... kinda sucks it's now something I have to train for. But I still know I can get back at it. I'm committing to running at least 3 more times this week and I assume it will get easier each time.
