Opinion: $1+ is too much friction for connecting an app like Flink, Quickcast etc.

idea: there should be a way to fund a relayer, apps can fund it, purple can fund it etc. The price of the actual transaction is much lower..

There is a way, it's already embedded in the protocol. Any app that wants to cover the cost, can. This is what Warpcast practically does: You pay them $X and they connect Warpcast to your account. Before permissionless signups, they covered the cost.

If the actual transaction is much lower, what’s causing the premium? Apple tax?

Cool idea but they would probably be drained by spammers Apps could do their own Sybil resistance to gate signups, but that re-introduces friction I’d rather pay $1 than muck about with other logins etc
