Starknet is such a flop compared to funding and expectations. And I do not talk about the token - though the airdrop seems like a good time to reflect on it. 

Little users, little activity. Unnecessary friction for devs. 

It looks like they got most of the things wrong. Change my mind?

A lot of the projects seem to be focused on onchain gaming and none of the major games have released yet when these hit mainnet i think youll start to see a lot more activity on starknet

I would argue - in this case - it might be too late. Either Superchain / Arbitrum upgrades to zk at some point or other, more advanced zk rollups win. 

Then, there is the dev environment issue, people building there were heavily „bribed” cause there is little reason to undertake that challenge otherwise

Better wallet, no hick-up during airdrop, actually doing something innovative rather than building copy of EVM chain, zk is proven to be more secure and scale compare to optimistic roll ups.

If I had to bet on what their bull case would be I would waged it will be a gaming related super app

Definitely hard to be excited about the future when most of the devs are in EVM. The other ZKrollups understood that.

On the other hand all it takes is one major "breakout app" when talking about mainstream adoption.
