feels like we're in an interesting transition phase for wallet ui/ux where projects prioritize seamless onboarding via embedded wallets for net new users over building for crypto natives. i think the hardest part of this transition is the "not your keys, not your crypto" tenant. a key value for many is self-sovereignty and "owning" your funds. embedded wallets, to a certain extend abstracts this away and replaces it with convenience for new users. for me, this feels like a necessary trade-off since very few net new people (and many native people) should not be their own bank. avoiding scams, protecting your private keys, and maintain good hygiene is usually learned through mistakes. over time, i think we'll see the best products/apps continue using embedded wallets and combine that with educational moments to teach new users about crypto and its core values. for now, it's just a net-positive to attract new users, provide compelling use cases, and retain them without crypto-pilling them.

same! he’s got such a brutal, macho acting style that he fits so well as punisher. yet, he has a certain emotional touch that he can tap into that still makes him feel very human and emotionally raw. im also pretty excited about the accountant because he’s in it lol

i honestly think there’s a 50/50 chance they do in their 2nd or 3rd season. mlb enabled all of this, so my guess is they would let it happen there. i think sac has enough of a sports fandom that it’d be a pretty great atmosphere. light the lamp was huge for the kings, so i could see sac rallying around the a’s with a similar thing. could probably get a similar atmosphere to the moneyball a’s years with hudson/mulder/zito

daredevil season finale reminded me how much i miss jon bernthal as the punisher. this is such a great fit between actor and character. hoping we see another season of the punisher coming soon.

i hate how the a’s ownership torpedoed the team to force a move to vegas and how they spent this offseason to keep profiting from revenue sharing. but they’re really starting to look exciting with miller, butler, rooker, wilson, and kurtz. a’s will be very well positioned once in vegas to compete.

arenado definitely tied their hands this off-season by exercising his no trade clause. retooling on the fly is just so hard to do. it’s easier to just sell the house and rebuild. takes many years of pain but it’s usually worth it (unless you’re the white sox)

agreed that cards will spend another year below .500. have a feeling they’ll do some selling if possible. arenado/gray/matz are all trade candidates. especially gray. they’re in a similar position the phillies/giants were in after long post-season runs and a history of being competitive. ideal to tank, but ownership unlikely full willing to do that. so they need to draft/develop well + sign key big free agents to be competitive again.
