I see a lot of people actively campaigning their projects to ballot-holders, which feels weird to me. I was hoping that the premise of RetroPGF would not devolve into a popularity contest, but it clearly has. Should I be hustling whatsabi's ballot harder?

Does it feel weird if you’re campaigning a low-level, technical project to non-technical badge holders though? How would you make them otherwise aware of these projects and libraries? I’m not sure if current methods of project discoverability in RPGF suffice. I see nothing wrong with campaigning in that case.

Agreed that RPGF is not structured to work otherwise. It feels weird because I don't enjoy cold messaging self-promotion. I'm not good at it, and it requires a substantial mind/emotional shift for me to get into that mode. Especially as a solo self-employed dev, it's a lot. Maybe if I had a cofounder/team to lean on.
