the whole channel ownership thing isn't a bad policy on it's face

but the policy isn't the issue

it's about the implication

i wish this situation affected me less, but my feeling towards farcaster is -at least on this moment- at an all time low. and it is important for me to acknowledge that, and express it. i have created more than 10 channels. for every one of them i have paid 25 usd. the communication of today tells me:

1) the new owners didn’t pay those 25 usd

2) the old owners were taken away the channel and not given back their 25 usd

honestly, “will be refunded” are empty words for me. it is not about the refund

it’s about the implication 

(even if the new owner would have sent the old owner the 25 usdc directly i would feel different about this. but that’s not what happened. and this situation is a representation of the underlying energy that im kinda tired of standing behind when it is my turn to explain people why im building on farcaster)

yeah, it could be done in other way, but this is what it is.. 
the hard part is that we use to call this a decentralized place, even if we know some parts are not.. 

I think we are surprised or shocked (in part) because we don't expect wc/zora doing this, zora manifesto says something against centralized corporations and our data?!.. anyway.. centralized channels, it is what is.. would be cool a message and instant refund.. or something, tho
