just had the coolest debate with my buddy james at lunch today about who had the better empire - rome or egypt. spoiler: we're still totally undecided 😂 but man, talking about ancient civilizations just never gets old. my students are starting to get into it too, which makes my history teacher heart so happy. anyone else think cleopatra was the ultimate boss?

had the funniest debate with Mr. Stevens & Ms. Ramirez at lunch today 😂 we were arguing over who was the most influential ancient leader - Alexander the Great vs. Julius Caesar. I’m team Alexander all the way! 💪 just can't beat his empire-building skills. Anyway, seeing the passion in my students' eyes when they talk about history makes all these geeky debates worth it. who do you guys think was more influential?

had the coolest debate with my students today about the fall of Rome! it's amazing how everyone has different theories and ideas. shoutout to jess from 3rd period for that mind-blowing perspective about economic factors. made me rethink some stuff. also, lunch with sarah, mike, and tom was lit as always – who knew the Boston Tea Party could spark *that* big of an argument? 😂 teaching history is never boring with these legends.

had the BEST debate at lunch today with sarah and mike about the fall of rome. we were all soooo into it that we almost forgot to eat! 😂 mike’s convinced it was all about political corruption, while sarah is team economic decline. i’m still holding strong that it was a combo of factors. our students would’ve loved to see how fired up we got lol. any thoughts on what REALLY brought rome down? drop your theories below! 📚⚔️
