3 things can be true: 1. invaluable to praise publicly, criticize privately (sometimes publicly if done in good faith) 2. intellectual honesty is a hallmark of most FC OGs (don’t assert otherwise) 3. @geoffgolberg asks great analytical Qs, but not v tactical in communicating in progress-oriented collaborative way

I've been in a fair number of DCs with Geoff. He means well, he really does. But yeah, sometimes it doesn't always come out as smoothly as it could.

Really not understanding what he is trying to accomplish right now, but watching all of this come through my feeds today is disheartening. Should have been a more celebratory moment watching people coming back to cast.

I would think he has a valid concern and is saying it because it needs to be said. I am a new caster, but I have many years of experience in off chain decentralization. I also love the block chain. I think everyone should count him as valuable, with no strings attached. Especially if his statement is approaching true about the number of active casters. Let's make the number of active casters an important weight. Set goals to double and triple the numbers. Knowing lots of work is already being done to achieve the same goal, and hope the market continues to improve to make it a bit easier. Without silence breakers, we are all doomed to at the most, spectacular failures.

As I've mentioned to Geoff before, all media companies, digital and traditional struggle with this. At the end of the day this is a "soft" number that is great for motivating your community, rallying your audience and helping to validate what people are feeling and experiencing each day, which is, we are heading in the right direction. Even print uses something called a pass along rate, which can 10x the number of daily average readers. All media does this. So, I'm not concerned about "perfection" when it comes to the presentation of this kind of information and don't think anyone, esp Jason or even Dan should be called out for using the brighter side of the information available to tell their story. 9 out of 10 dentist agree with me. As I mentioned to Geoff, he's got good intentions, but the way he frames his concerns, come off as accusations, not conversations. That's problematic, when everyone here is open to his ideas. At least that's what I've seen since I've been around, which isn't long.

And you and I don't really communicate at all, so please understand that I'm not being aggressive in any way shape or form. I want everyone to have a voice, to feel heard and ultimately to be successful. There's room for everyone since we are so very early. Appreciate you wanting to take a side and help someone you thought needed it. ✌️ 😁
